David Sedaris tour, book out this fall

Between his new book and David Sedaris tickets to a live show, there’s plenty of ways to get your fill of the funny man this summer.

Sedaris will be touring the U.S. in October and November 2010, and he even has tour dates scheduled already for next April! New venues are being announced all the time, but some of the highlights of his upcoming tour are Oct. 7 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta; Oct. 17 at the Soverign Performing Arts Center in Reading, Penn.; and Nov. 1 and 2 at the Apollo Theatre in New York.

Sedaris Finally On The Big Screen

Celebrated author and humor columnist, David Sedaris is finally taking one of his short stories to the big screen.  His first attempt back in 2002 with Me Talk Pretty One Day was shut down due to the backlash from his family about being the subject of a major motion picture.

Screenwriter and director Kyle Patrick Alvarez will be adapting Sedaris’ Child of God, from his collection of short stories, NakedChild of God tells the tale of a time when Sedaris worked with a fanatical Christian and self proclaimed “child of God” who made stone clocks in the shape of the state of Oregon to sell at craft fairs. David Sedaris gears up for next tour

Best selling author, humor columnist and radio contributor David Sedaris is gearing up for a cross-country tour this spring.

Sedaris is the author of “Barrell Fever” and “Holidays on Ice.” He has also written a series of personal essays that each became best sellers. When he’s not too busy, he also has pieces in The New Yorker. His next book, “Fables,” is due in Fall 2010.

In the past, Sedaris has received three Grammy Award nominations for ‘Best Spoken Word’ and ‘Best Comedy Album.’ His latest album “David Sedaris: Live For Your Viewing Pleasure” was released in November 2009.
