David Sedaris tour, book out this fall

Between his new book and David Sedaris tickets to a live show, there’s plenty of ways to get your fill of the funny man this summer.

Sedaris will be touring the U.S. in October and November 2010, and he even has tour dates scheduled already for next April! New venues are being announced all the time, but some of the highlights of his upcoming tour are Oct. 7 at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta; Oct. 17 at the Soverign Performing Arts Center in Reading, Penn.; and Nov. 1 and 2 at the Apollo Theatre in New York.

His next book, “Squirrel Seeks Chipmunk: A Modest Bestiary,” is also scheduled to come out next month. It consists of a series of fables like “The Toad, the Turtle, and the Duck” and “Hello Kitty.” The Christian Science Monitor calls the collection “profoundly funny, well-crafted stories that somehow, magically, bring home a major point about fidelity or guilt or love.”
